Description

The Da Vinci 'Story of the Book' Grand Prize is an open submission newcomer literary prize hosted by KADOKAWA, Media Factory, and the Da Vinci editorial department. Submissions began in 2013. Entries are limited to 'stories related to books' and target novels equivalent to 250 to 350 sheets of 400-character manuscript paper. Winners receive 1 million yen in prize money, and the winning work is published by Media Factory. There are also Excellence Award, Reader's Prize, Special Prize, etc. The final selection adopts a unique method involving not only the editorial department but also 100 reader judges and booksellers.
