A detective visits Shoko Yagi, a female store security officer who apprehends shoplifters at a supermarket. The wife of a man with whom Shoko ended an affair three years earlier has been murdered, and Shoko becomes a suspect because she received substantial compensation as his mistress. To establish her innocence, she begins investigating the case herself.

The eye trained to catch shoplifters is turned toward a murder accusation she never expected.
