Description

Established by Hokumeisha with the aim of "spotlighting writers who sincerely engage in literature, named after the genius writer Ishikawa Takuboku who lived in poverty and died young." The 1st and 2nd editions were open calls soliciting entries in each category, with category-specific selections conducted by judges. Hosting ended after the 2nd edition. The essay category was newly established from the 2nd edition.
