Description
The Japan Literature Hall Grand Award is the highest literary award of Japan Literature Hall, newly established in 2007 by integrating existing literary awards. Submissions are held monthly (on the 10th of every month), and monthly preliminary screenings by the Japan Literature Hall Screening Committee select monthly excellent awards for each category. After the final deadline, category awards are determined from all monthly excellent awards, with one selected as the grand prize through evaluation. The short story category includes the Ultra-short Story Grand Prize, and the five-line poem category includes the Kusakabe Enta Award. Grand prize winners receive an award plaque as the main prize and 500,000 yen as the additional prize.
