A tanka collection by Okabe Fumio. Through the sorrows of people and things living in a snow country, it joins the poet's own sorrow to an attention to human existence, developing a realist poetic world rooted in the severe climate of Hokuriku.

Under a title that marks winter's end, the collection looks at aging, solitude, and the weight of daily life against the climate and lived experience of a snow country. Its restrained voice brings emotion within the cold landscape into relief.
