Yamanaka Ritsuo's fifth tanka collection. Conscious of a lineage from Sato Sataro to Kawashima Kiyoshi, it approaches illness and mortality, family, place, and everyday detail with quiet tension.

The collection includes sequences such as 'Misho,' 'Requiem,' 'Preparing for Winter,' 'Tanko,' and 'Anesthesia.' Even where mortality is close, concrete elements of life, including meals, fields, business cards, and pensions, provide the poems' footing.
