Kako Yo's first tanka collection. Drawing on daily work with words as a newspaper reporter, it records the ethics of news, memories of war, the individual within institutions, and the tension of communicating current events.

The opening sequence follows faxes sounding at a dawn desk and a single-character change in a correction message. War sleeping in public archives, anonymity in reporting, and a reporter after retirement are drawn from concrete work of investigation.
