Megami Novel Grand Award

A public literary award established in 2008 by Gakken Publishing's light novel imprint Megami Bunko as it shifted from anime novelizations to original works. Notable for inviting prominent illustrators as special judges and for the 'attribute award' evaluating heroines' moe characteristics. Held twice in 2008 and 2009 before concluding.

Description
The "Megami Novel Grand Award" (megami no beru taishō) is an open call literary award sponsored by Gakken Publishing. It was established in conjunction with the relaunch in July 2008 of the light novel bunko label Megami Bunko (launched December 2004), shifting from a focus on anime original novelization works to strengthening original works.
