Description

A literary award sponsored by Yomiuri Shimbun Hokuriku Branch, co-sponsored by Kinjo Gakuen School Corporation, and supported by Ishikawa Prefecture and others, targeting unpublished short stories. It solicits works within 50 sheets of 400-character manuscript paper, awarding the winning entry a Kutani-yaki paperweight and prize money of 500,000 yen. It is usually announced in the Yomiuri Shimbun in March, with the awards ceremony held on March 26 at Uho-in in Kanazawa City. It ended with the 5th edition in 2016.
