Tsumi na Onna is a 1952 story by Shinji Fujiwara. Centered on a woman born into poverty and unhappiness who can only find purpose by devoting herself to a man, it portrays human frailty, affection, and sorrow. Together with Ono no Sadakuro and Shiroi Mukade, it was recognized for the 27th Naoki Prize and was later collected in Kodansha's Akai Satsui / Tsumi na Onna.
