Description

Established in 1984 to commemorate the opening of the Osaka Prefectural International Children's Literature Library, this is a literary award soliciting submissions from newcomers in children's literature and picture books. Sponsored by Nissan Motor, grand prize winners in each category receive cash prizes, and the grand prize works are published and donated to school libraries.
