Description
A publicly-recruited children's literature award established in 1991 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the death of Ogawa Mimei, celebrated as 'the father of modern Japanese fairy tales.' Co-hosted by the Ogawa Mimei Literary Award Committee and Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture, the award accepts unpublished short and long works of children's literature from both professionals and amateurs, with a deadline at the end of October each year.
