Bare Feet is Seiichi Kagawa's poem that received the 33rd Poetry and Thought Newcomer Award. Through images of aligned slippers, dappled light, rain, a riverbank, and a kappa, it portrays a speaker confronting lost promises and a lingering shadow between memory and the present.

A poem in which a landscape of sunlight and rain quietly recalls memories of the past.
