"Ogai-mori" is a sequence of twenty tanka in which a poet connected with a library associated with Mori Ogai brings together a place that preserves history and his own daily life. Between his scholarly work and the act of writing verse, the poems reveal a quiet awareness of inheriting the words of those who came before.

Its closing return to the Ogai Library leaves an impression of a quiet homecoming to a place that safeguards memory.
