Description
Established in 2006 as the literary specialist newcomer award for the kaidan specialist magazine ''Yu''. Solicits long-form and short-form works in the kaidan genre. Grand prize winners receive an original blue andon lantern as the principal prize, with sub-prizes of 300,000 yen for the long-form category and 200,000 yen for the short-form category. Long-form grand prize works are published as single volumes by ''Yu Books'', and short-form grand prize works are published in the ''Yu'' magazine. Ended after the 10th edition (2015).
