土曜日到着予定が、今日到着しました！すごく嬉しかったです！
夢にまつわるホラー

ある夢見たら死ぬ連鎖のお話。特に怖くはないし、ある程度の展開は読めましたが、民俗学要素があって興味深かったのと、仲間がどんどん集結して解決に向かうという展開が面白かったです。あと文章の上手さが抜群で、ストレスなくサクサク読むことができました。

素晴らしい
良い意味でシンプルに怪異を楽しめるスーパーナチュラルホラー

精神科医の女性とオカルトライターの男性がそれぞれに「見ると死ぬ夢」に関わってしまい、独自にその正体を追って調査していく様が交互に描かれるのが基本構成となるホラー長編です。同日に同じホラー文庫から発売された澤村伊智『ばくうどの悪夢』の文庫化も夢テーマなのですが、大きな違いはホラー要素の対象です。澤村作品（を含め最近のホラー作品）では往々にして、人間や社会の現実的な悪・嫌な部分が怪異と絡んで描かれることが多いのですが、この『夢詣』では、「見ると死ぬ夢（とそれをもたらす存在）」に焦点がほぼ絞られているのです。キャラクターの動機付けや謎解きの伏線のためにちらっとそういう要素が出たりはしますが、そこを書くのに余計な力を入れていないのは明らかです。どちらが良い悪いということではないですが、人間がろくでもない存在なのはわかっていてフィクションのホラーを楽しみたいんだという気分の時には、こういう作品がありがたいですね。ただ、クトゥルー神話の影響を色濃く感じさせる作品でもあり、そこが気になる人はいるかもしれません。作品自体は、クトゥルーものを全く読んでいなくても、読むのになんの問題もありませんが。

はい、そっち系の話です。しかしそれも相まって、さらには伏線の雑さ(親切さ)もあり後半の展開の先が見えすぎて興が削がれる…。前半は結構楽しく読みました。 HPL好きなら神話の一部として楽しめるかもしれません。 …でもジャケットでネタが割れていると言うのも微妙な気がします。ただの霧の島と鳥居と船でよかったのでは。

久しぶりにエグぃのに当たりました夢に出て来ます
楽しみな作家さんが増えた

『読者賞』を獲ったのも頷ける面白さだった。正直、最後は物語が終わるのが惜しくて、もっと書き込んで欲しかったな、と思いつつ、でもこれ新人さんのデビュー作だった、と思い直したくらい。次回作も期待しています!
人では歯向かいもできないなにか

人の悪意や悍ましいものの集合体が恐れとなったものではなく、むかしむかしから崇められ忌避されていたものが粛々と命を屠ってゆくものが読みたいならおすすめ。この夢を見たら死ぬ、身近に前例がありそれがひたひたと確実にやってくる、予感する恐怖の描き方は鮮やかだと思ったが、個人的にはあまり怖さを感じなかった。舞台も登場人物も恐れの対象もわたしの身の回りからは離れているからだと思う。あれかな、ホラー作品って登場人物で作家やライターが出てくる頻度が高すぎると感じる。ホラーとその謎を追う作家って動かしやすいから相性がいいのは分かるけど、一般人の身の回りではおらん職業だから感情移入しにくくて出てくると「またか〜」と食傷ぎみです。
