小椿居は石田波郷邸の百椿居に因んで名づけた自宅のこと。それをそのまま句集名としたのは、これを以て師波郷へのささやかな挨拶としたかったからである。
大正14年3月4日生。石田波郷・石塚友二門。昭和61年4月「鶴」主宰継承。句集『弟子』『寒食』『雨滴集』(俳人協会賞受賞)『燕雀』『亭午』ほか。著書『近世俳人ノオト』『続近世俳人ノオト』『石田波郷の世界』ほか。俳人協会名誉会員・日本文藝家協会会員。
