タイトルの短編がよいね。

死んだ人間の魂が、天国（天国・地獄の天国ではなく、あの世という意味）へ向かうための門があって、その門を管理する組織があり、監督官とかシステム技術主任とかが居る。かなり突飛な設定です。監督官は、とにかくスムーズに、トラブルなく魂が通過することを期待しているのだが、どうにもトラブルを起こす魂が出てくる。その魂とのかけ合いを通じて、主として日本の妙な社会生活を痛快にあぶりだす。タイトルになっている最初の短編が傑作。楽しい小説です。妙に人生を考えさせられるが悪い気分ではない。おもしろい小説です。時間があるときにでも読まれてみるのもよいかと思います。
