心震えるサスペンスにして新青春エンタテイメント
鮎川哲也賞の最終候補作。作者のデビュー作でもある。 主人公は史学科の女子大生。ほかに重要な登場人物に主人公の憧れの存在である同姓の先輩が出てくる。この物語の鍵となるのは、主人公と先輩の関係。そして、二人の心理である。それらは、読者である私にははっきりとは理解できないものであったが、非常にうまく描かれている様な気がして、時に戦慄や恐怖を感じた。また、文章は一文、一文が綺麗でまるで詩の様な風味を持っているように感じる。また、本格ミステリ的な要素、鍵のない密室も驚きを感じはしなかったが、しかし、きわめて精巧で、物語の中によく溶け込んでいる。 荒削りな部分も多いが、読み終えて満足感を得た。
