闇夜の鴉は黒ずくめ
どちらかといえば暗いシリアスな話。 主人公は暗い過去を背負った黒ずくめ。んで、その主人公の復讐がテーマとなっています。それに合っていると言っていいのか輪をかけていると言っていいのか、イラストもまた重苦しいダーク路線です。 『ヴァロフェス〈1〉』という、シリーズの第一巻という形です。だから、作中の設定等についての説明不足は、今後の巻で解き明かされて深められていくのだろうな、とあまり不満には感じませんでした。 ただ、それぞれのシーン、キャラクターのその場の心理描写については、若干物足りなさを感じたのも事実です。恐らく作者の脳内にはもっと明確なイメージがしっかりと出来上がっているのでしょうが、それを文章で読者に伝えるのが、ちょっと弱かった気もします。でもホラーっぽいダークで重い雰囲気を作るのには非常に成功しています。 全体的な文章については、読み易くも読み難くもなく、普通といった感じです。 明るい傾向の作品が圧倒的に多くなってきたライトノベル全体の中にあっては、一種挑戦的な作品ではあります。
