A nighttime ritual of breathing into garbage bags exposes the suffocation of the city.
First staged by Rinkogun in 1990, this play won the 35th Kishida Kunio Drama Award. It was collected in Breathless/Come Out: Plays by Yoji Sakate, with a new edition appearing in 2022.
