2014年、第5回田中裕明賞を受賞した『句集 鶉』、待望久しく新装版として刊行。 「市井の隠者を思わせる俳風」「俳句らしい普遍性をもった飄々とした作品」などと高く評価される。当時、少部数の私家版として刊行、今や垂涎の句集と評判。 『句集 鶉』は、現在、俳句結社「麒麟」を主宰する西村麒麟の初期を示す225句を収める。
西村麒麟 にしむら・きりん 1983年大阪府生まれ。現在、東京都江東区在住。俳句結社「麒麟」主宰、「古志」同人。句集に『鶉』（2013年）、『鴨』（2017年）。 2009年、「静かな朝」20句により第1回石田波郷新人賞。2014年、第四回芝不器男俳句新人賞大石悦子奨励賞。同年、『鶉』により第5回田中裕明賞。2016年、「思ひ出帳」150句により第七回北斗賞。2019年、「玉虫」50句により第65回角川俳句賞。2023年、結社「麒麟」創刊。

貴重な私家版の復刊
田中裕明賞を受賞した句集だが、私家版のため殆ど手にすることの出来なかった貴重な句集が復刊され読むことができありがたい。
