Daku-sei is a short story collection published in September 1999 by Bungeishunjū. It includes pieces such as "濁世" (published in Bungakukai, May 1998), "久遠" (Bungakukai, Dec 1998) and "壺中の獄" (Bungakukai, May 1999). Many stories were first published in literary magazines.

A novelist who attracted attention in the late 1990s with nominations for the Akutagawa Prize (1998, 1999) and a Mishima Yukio Prize nomination (1999).
