"Soshi Futatabi Kaerazu" is an early short story by Koji Kurumizawa, published under the name Shojiro Shimizu, and winner of the 7th All Yomimono Newcomer Award. Set against the backdrop of a Central Asian expedition, it follows men drawn into the heat and danger of a foreign frontier, anticipating the adventure fiction that later defined the author.

The dreams and dangers of men heading into the Central Asian wilderness form an early source of Kurumizawa's adventure fiction.
