Northern Discourse is Norio Tokita's first tanka collection. Rooted in the landscape of Tokachi, it renders families living close together in severe cold, bodies shaped by farming, and the time of the northern land in direct, powerful tanka.

A first tanka collection that sings of Tokachi, agricultural life, and the time of the northern land.
