Description
A public newcomer literary prize for entertainment novels sponsored by Poplar Publishing. The first round of submissions began in 2005, with a grand prize of 20 million yen and an excellent prize of 5 million yen. The judging was conducted by company employees including sales staff, with no external judges. Due to suspicions surrounding the 5th round, it ended after 2010, and the successor Poplar Publishing Novel Newcomer Prize was established from 2011.
