Description

Established in 1986 by the Ishikawa Cultural Foundation to commemorate Yamamoto Yuzo's masterpiece "Roadside Stone." This literary award honored authors of outstanding works for young children, with award ceremonies held annually in February or March at Casals Hall in Ochanomizu Square, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. It ended with the 23rd edition in 2001.
