熱狂
～二二六事件当時の熱狂がじかにつたわってくる小説でした。 熱い想いだけで行動を起こしたひとたちの、あまりに杜撰なクーデター事件の顛末を描いた小説ですが、事件を起こした青年将校より少し年上の著者によって書かれているので、事件の当事者によって書かれたドキュメントのような感覚を受けました。 ～～ このクーデターが成功していたら、日本は日中戦争の泥沼にはまらなかったのかもしれないという幻想を、一瞬、私はこの小説を読んでいて感じました。 薩長の下級武士が勝利した幕末の動乱も、全共闘が時の政府に敗れ去ったとはいえ60年代・70年代の学生運動の熱狂も、思想の違いはあるとはいえ、同じ質のものだな、と感じました。 ～～ 今は熱狂のない時代です。ことの善悪はともかく、ある意味、熱狂の渦にみずからを投じた彼らが羨ましくおもえました。～
