Description
The Kiyama Shohei Literary Award (きやましょうへいぶんがくしょう) is a literary award targeting pure literature sponsored by Kasaoka City, established in April 1996 to commemorate the novelist and poet Shohei Kiyama. According to the initial regulations, it ended with the 9th award in 2005, and in 2006, the Kiyama Shohei Short Story Award for new entrants was established. Winning works are announced every February, and the award ceremony is held in March. The prize money is 1 million yen, and it is abbreviated as "Kiyama Shohei Award" or "Kiyama Award".
