Description
Shosetsu Gendai Newcomer Award (shōsetsu gendai shinjinshō, 1963–2005) was an open call newcomer literary award sponsored by Kodansha. Solicited medium-length and short stories regardless of genre, awarded winners 1 million yen in prize money, and published winning works in Shosetsu Gendai, issued by Kodansha. Reorganized into Shosetsu Gendai Long Novel Newcomer Award from 2006.
