The Art Encouragement Newcomer Award (Art Encouragement Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Newcomer Award) is a newcomer award presented through the artist commendation system 'Art Encouragement Prize' sponsored by the Agency for Cultural Affairs. Since 1968 (18th edition), it has been awarded annually to artists who have pioneered new prospects in various art fields through their achievements.
