Description

The Yoshikawa Eiji Literary Award is a literary prize established and organized by the Public Interest Incorporated Foundation Yoshikawa Eiji National Culture Promotion Association in 1967, with sponsorship from Kodansha. It targets popular fiction. Initially, it had a strong lifetime achievement aspect, but in recent years, specific works have been the focus of evaluation. Winners receive a plaque as the principal award and 3 million yen as the special award.
