Description

Chūōkōron-sha took over the Joryū Bungakusha Prize sponsored by the Joryū Bungakusha Association and established it in 1962, awarding it annually to Japanese novels by women writers until 2000. Due to criticism of the name "joryū," it was renamed Fujin Kōron Bungei Prize from 2001.
